Q&A
1. What’s your biggest achievement / Something you’re proud of yourself for?
“My biggest achievement is not any outside success I have attained. Although I am always grateful for and proud of these measures of success, my biggest achievement has been coming home to myself. Coming home to the deepest truth of my being. My greatest achievement is my own liberation. I can wake up in the morning and feel truly blessed that I get to spend another day with me. I am at ease with who I am. I am a work in progress as we all are. My life is in constant evolution. I have highs and lows. I make mistakes. But I am comfortable in my own skin. My entire life this was not the case. There was a huge disconnect. Now I find wonder and joy in life. Being deeply and truly honest with myself has been a game changer. Not sweeping things under the rug. Not hiding. Not pretending. And taking responsibility for how I show up in life. And at times when I make mistakes, allowing for a gentle reflection of myself as one would do for a child, a best friend, or a beloved. Self love. It’s a term that gets thrown around a lot. But when it is truly discovered, life opens up in ways that are unimaginable.
Being part of the play of humanity and where we are in our evolution and yet still remain sovereign and autonomous, with a peaceful mind amidst the chaos – to me this is freedom. And my most wonderful creation and achievement. Working on myself has been my masterpiece. So simple. Yet so profound. And all the more special because I know what it took to get here. The many dark nights of the soul. Walking through hell and coming out on the other side with a beaming heart – this to me is an achievement, and a truly humbling experience.
I am lucky that fear was not installed as part of my software! Like most people I do not like change, but I do not fear it. I have always been quite courageous and I usually jump into things before I feel I’m quite ready. I just need a Yes in my heart and the rest will sort itself out. Learn on the job as they say. Sometimes to my detriment! It is only in my later years that I have learned balance and discernment with this. I have learned where my “yes” comes from. And now it comes from a more healed and whole place, a space of love and self respect. And deep intuition. I did not always have this. Discernment is such a beautiful thing. It allows for so much freedom of the things we truly desire. The desires that come from an authentic space within us. Essentially, fear is simply a vibration. And while we are constantly being bombarded with a fearful narrative, it is entirely possible to consciously shift out of that vibration and be in attunement with the energies of love, gratitude, compassion, trust, abundance. Being in alignment with a greater consciousness.”
2. What’s your biggest fear / something that holds you back?
“What holds me back? Hmm. Consciously I know there is nothing holding me back – aside from the limiting beliefs I have. The ones we all pick up in childhood. That changes our perception of who we are. And it is often only when we are older and more mature that we can take a good long deep look at ourselves and start to see where a mistaken belief was formed that has been operating in our subconscious and has navigated our lives for us to a large degree. There are times in life when I know I have to look at myself objectively. I have to be vulnerable with myself and look at the raw honest naked truth. At times this is easy. Other times it requires more effort. I don’t want to look at what I don’t want to see! But this is when perspective is important. I know that when I look at myself with judgement, I will stay stuck. I find when I bring a sense of curiosity into my experience, I can soften into the moment ,take a little distance and look at myself with grace, love, kindness, and compassion (and sometimes a good dose of humour!) and I can actually start to shift what is holding me back. And this is where our ultimate freedom lies. It is not outside of us, it is in our sacred interior. And if we pay attention, we can see how these beliefs manifest in our lives – in all areas – and we can start to see these apparent dysfunctions for what they are – a key to our freedom. So, nothing holds me back except for me :)”
3. What’s your biggest contribution / Something you like to share?
“My biggest contribution is my work, my service to humanity. I offer it generously with an open and grateful heart. Supporting others in seeing their own light, stand in their own power, shine in their own truth. This is the ultimate fulfilment for me. We all have a desire to return to love, to peace, to heal, to forgive… In any way I can facilitate the opening for that to occur, is a gift and a deep blessing to me. Our own self realisation is the greatest contribution to the collective and to the ascension process of humanity. To drink from the well of nourishment of our own vastness, and to live it as a conscious expression, is the greatest gift we can give this Earth and all beings who inhabit her. This is my life’s work – assisting in the total empowerment of the individual through the process of self realisation.”
4. Fun Facts:
“Aside from being a crazy cat lady, I am also a total science nerd! But not mainstream accepted science necessarily – we only know what we know. I like to know what we don’t know. My interest is in finding the common ground, or meeting point, between science and mysticism. My fields of interest are varied – neuroscience, quantum physics, epigenetics… but my main love will always be in the esoteric and metaphysical realm. I spend a lot of my free time researching, reading, and watching documentaries and attending lectures and workshops to broaden my perspective. And for fun I enjoy helping people create sanctuaries – mini temples, portals of potential – in their home or garden using sacred geometry and crystals.”
