Q&A

1. What’s your biggest achievement / Something you’re proud of?
” I have been very fortunate in my life to have an incredible career where I have managed to achieve success in something that I love. I have been in the same field for 23 years yet I never stop learning new things. But what I’m most proud of is that I am finally in a place in my life where I love where I am and who I am with. It’s not to say I don’t still have huge goals and the desire to continually improve myself but I love living this best life in this moment. I’ve recently realised that as woman we constantly want our children, sisters, friends, nieces to have self confidence and self pride but how can they if we don’t show show that within ourselves so I have worked hard to love myself & my life.

2. What’s your biggest fear / something that holds you back?
“My biggest fear is my body failing me. Last year my world was rocked when I developed debilitating abdominal pain. After months of doctors telling me nothing was wrong, I ended up in hospital with stage 4 endometriosis. It takes an average of 8 years for a woman to be diagnosed with this disease and I become that statistic. For me… it’s been to late to save my ovaries, uterus, womb. I have always wanted children but could not fall pregnant and now that option has been completely taken away from me in order to give me a pain free life. It’s a hard pill to swallow but I have the love of my life at my side loving me no matter what so operation 1 down…more to go…..”

3. What’s your biggest contribution / Something you like to share?
“My biggest contribution is the positive impact I have on my loved ones. My desire to be a mum has transformed into my desire to look after and make sure my family are all okay. I know each week, in some way, no matter how stressful or busy my work is, I do something to brighten their days. It’s the little things that I know means the most to them… from sending flowers to my mom, or a quick message to tell her I love her, to being second mom to my niece, letting my husband know he rocks my world.”

Thank you for being you!
