Q&A

1. What’s your biggest achievement / Something you’re proud of yourself for?

“There have been so many milestones that I am proud of. The first and  foremost is that I gave birth and raised two incredible human beings. That being a mom helped shape who I am today. The second impactful accomplishment is having an Amazon Hottest New Release for over two weeks with my book, How To Be Your Badass Self: A Guide To Using Your Inner Energy For Brand Success. I never thought that my dream of being an author would actually become a reality. To be able to take all the buzz that floats around inside of us… make sense of it, put it down on paper and then be acknowledged by others around the world as being something impactful, is a high that goes on and on.  My third incredible accomplishment professionally is starring in two multi-award winning movies that are impacting the world.  The recent screening at a major theatre for my documentary biopic, FEAR: Face Everything And Rise, directed by Manny Bains and Serge Velbovets with Executive Producer GTA South Asian Media Network in association with Rising Star Movie Experience has been an incredible moment. The film has received rave reviews from jurors and the public receiving over 37 nominations and awards across 13 countries.  Both the second and the third accomplishments listed above were just dreams in my head. To see them become a reality has been surreal.”

2. What’s your biggest fear / something that holds you back?

“I don’t let fear hold me back. Hence my film name. The fearful timid person is the old version of me. Now, I fail forward remembering that I am imperfectly perfect. I don’t stop because of a setback or a challenge. I see these moments are growth opportunities.  Measuring personal success is not just a matter of examining how much money, fame or power you have. Personal success is marked by signs of emotional growth that manifests itself in various signs and signals. This means that there is not really a standard for how far you have come in life, but rather it is about recognizing how your own personal approach and attitude towards growth in life and work have made you successful. Taking a risk and leaping out into the unknown without the fear of failing. Being able to understand that failure is actually a stepping stone to all success and then not caring what others think of you for attempting the feat go a long way in discovering yourself and your personal success. Your subconscious mind works harder to get the results you desire when you use specific goals rather than general ones. I have worked hard on truly understanding my ‘why’ of wanting it.

3. What’s your biggest contribution / Something you like to share?

“I have embraced numerous career transitions throughout my journey, and I firmly believe that the ability to pivot and adapt to change is a valuable lesson to learn. The ever-evolving nature of life reminds us that nothing is fixed, and being adaptable is a true reflection of the current times. From an early age, becoming a teacher held a special place in my heart. Growing up in an academic environment, surrounded by educators, it seemed natural to aspire to be one myself. I consider myself fortunate to have the freedom and flexibility to choose my path each day. The autonomy to establish personal goals and set my own deadlines serves as a powerful motivator, driving me to work even harder. These goals become deeply personal and ingrained within me, rather than being imposed externally. This shift has made an immense difference in my life. While perfection may not be paramount, taking action is crucial. Through these actions, even in the face of failure, I find myself steadily progressing forward and discovering my true self along the way. It is the process of growth and advancement that matters most.”

4. Fun Facts:

“I have a vibrant personality and here are some fun facts that make me unique. My favourite colour is the bold and passionate RED, reflecting my energetic spirit. My favourite movie is the electrifying BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, which pays tribute to singer Freddie Mercury.  I’m an avid photographer, finding joy in capturing moments through my lens. My aspiration in life is to be remembered for making a positive and impactful difference in this world, leaving behind a legacy that will inspire others.”
