ANIMAL HEALER I REIKI MASTER I APPLE TV DESIGNER

Ellie deSilva is the CEO, President and Founder of Indigo Rhythms. She is an Animal Intuitive Healer, Clairvoyant, CBP, CAP, CFP, CHt, CCMBA Instructor, Breakthrough Facilitator and Reiki Master, with a background in homeopathic and holistic intuitive medicine. She has traveled the world, working with organisations such as the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya; the Millennium Elephant Foundation and the University of Peradeniya School of Veterinary Medicine in Sri Lanka; Asher’s Farm Sanctuary, the Vervet Monkey Foundation, Greyton Farm Sanctuary, Farm Sanctuary SA, TEARS Rescue and Tom Ro Haven in South Africa; the Three Ring Ranch, the Cetacean Society International in Hawaii and Rainbow Friends in Hawaii; and Paws 4 Life K9, the Farm Sanctuary, the Gentle Barn and Best Friends Animal Society in California.

Having a strong connection to animals since birth, Ellie began working for a local veterinarian at the age of 17.
Disheartened by how limiting their resources were, she abandoned their allopathic ways when she became exposed to the Old World ways of healing…the more holistic approach to balancing and reconnecting all the parts of the energetic, emotional and spiritual beings.

Studying with Peruvian, Native American, Japanese, American and Hawaiian shamans across the globe, Ellie now practices several forms of healing, including BodyTalk, CCMBA, Reiki, clairvoyant readings, past life regression therapy, Fuji-san, channeling, numerology, Etheric Plane Communication and Multi-Generational Healing. She caters her sessions toward each client’s individual needs, in whatever ways serve them in their highest good and the highest good of all concerned. Her main goal is to support all in their awakening experience, and believes that one day we will all return to the Oneness that we once knew.

In 2021, Ellie moved from California to Oklahoma, to open the Indigo Farms Healing Sanctuary, where she now calls home with 3 rescued dogs, four rescued farm pigs, a family of six rescued feral cats and two wild deer.

Q&A with Ellie

1. What’s your biggest achievement / Something you’re proud of yourself for?

“I’ve managed my way through some of the deepest, darkest traumas imaginable. I’ve been held at gunpoint for 6 hours, walked in while my house was about to be robbed and narrowly escaped an incident at an auto repair shop with firearms drawn. I’ve watched too closely as loved ones left this world. There were so many. And being present, every day, as my mom slowly left this life at such a young age nearly crushed me. Followed by the loss of my beloved sharpei’s…one a year, for an 11 year period in my life. I didn’t think I would ever recover. But I did…and with a vengeance. Because while my mom was sick and dying, I began to feverishly scour all available resources to see what I could do to help her survive! And it worked! Her cancer was disappearing!

But the one lesson I’ve learned, more than anything in my experiences, is that everyone has free will. So no matter how much we are able to help, we cannot make them want the help that we offer. They always have the free will to choose. She chose to leave. I turned to my sharpei…my heart dogs…I knew I would find solace with them. But then a whole new series of traumas began for the next 11 years. Four months after my mom passed, I began losing each of them by the time they were 5 years old! One a year for 11 years. It nearly killed me, too! But I persevered. I sought more answers. And in my quest to save them, I stumbled into the wonderful world of holistic health and natural healing…and energy work…which is when I found my path as a healer. Doors began opening and answers began appearing…something awakened within me that I never even knew existed before…an inner knowing, an ancient wisdom, a connection to my Divine Source! I found myself suddenly traveling all over the world, doing healing work with the animals that I felt connected to my whole life…the ones I always turned to in my times of need. With the help of my animal friends, I discovered the reason I came into this life. I learned empathy and
gained a deep connection to Source. And in the way that synchronicity always works, I am now able to pay it all back to the animal world, with the enormous debt of gratitude I have to them for helping me through those most difficult times in my life.

I have been aligning with animal rescues around the world for 19 years now…working with elephants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, gorillas, orangutans, seals and more. I feel very blessed with this life and am grateful for all I am able to do. In addition to the animals I get to work with, I am also connecting with incredible people and like-minded souls…teaching them how to do what I do, so that we can reach so many more animals in need. And in coming full circle from where it all began, in 2021, after 15 years of working towards manifesting my goal, I was finally able to purchase some land to open my own animal healing sanctuary…paying it all back and also now paying it all forward.”

2. What’s your biggest fear / something that holds you back?

“Time…while I know, in my head, that time is just a human construct that we create in our minds, the whole concept of it has such limitations. I have to become very deliberate in my attempts to erase those constraints in my life and live in the “NOW,” because my natural tendency is to believe that there is never enough time. And in healing through my past traumas of loss, it is a constant struggle, because I always wish I had had more time with all those who have come to pass, and more time in my day to spend with those in my life right now.

As I have grown older, and have endeavored to continue on this path as an healer, time seems to speed on by so much faster now…I have felt this underlying anxiety that there just isn’t enough time to reach all of the animals I want to help heal…and all people that I want to connect with to help ignite their own healer within. As my days pass so quickly, I feel like there is still so much more to do than the hours allow, which would prevent me from fulfilling my purpose. There are so many things left that I still need and want to do. Time…I always wish I had more. So I actively practice being present every day…and grateful for the time that I have.”

3. What’s your biggest contribution / Something you like to share?

“Everyone has the ability to do what I do…we’ve just forgotten how. I like to activate the powerful healer within all of us, so I teach what I do in workshops around the world. There are millions of animals around the globe…and only one me. It would be very egocentric to think that I was the only one who could do what I do…and also very unrealistic to think that I could manage to reach every single animal on this planet by myself. My mission is to awaken as many souls as possible to their Divine gifts, so that we can help heal the entire planet together!”

3. Fun fact:

“I am a Senior Designer at Apple TV by day, with 30+ years in the advertising industry. I’ve worked on multi-million dollar accounts such as Apple, Google, Facebook, Disney, Activision, Netflix, Samsung, Twitch, UberEats and Warner Bros…just to name a few. I sculpt, draw and build things in my spare (?) time. I studied architecture for 3 years, but could not get past the restrictions and arrogance in the industry. So I now use that knowledge and experience to build structures at our animal healing sanctuary…”
